At Pinkerton Psychotherapy — Empower your healing. Transform your life.
I am a Clinical Intern at Pinkerton Psychotherapy, where I support clients in achieving greater emotional health and personal growth. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University, and I am receiving supervision from Jennifer Pinkerton, Practice Owner, M.S., LMFT, CST, C-TP, C-PD, during my internship experience.
I hold certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and my clinical approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), focusing on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I use CBT-based strategies to help clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and build emotional resilience. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, and challenges related to complex family and relationship dynamics. My experience includes working with adolescents, adults of all ages, and families, allowing me to apply CBT techniques across a wide range of developmental stages and relational systems.
I am particularly passionate about empowering women to heal from trauma, reclaim their voice, and build lives rooted in self-worth, clarity, and strength. My work is also grounded in a holistic approach to total wellness—honoring the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. I help clients explore how daily habits, relationships, personal values, and mindset influence their overall well-being.
Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, difficult life transitions, or working toward changing negative patterns, my role is to walk alongside you with empathy, support, and evidence-based guidance. I aim to help you strengthen your self-awareness, develop healthy coping strategies, and feel empowered in your healing journey.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I’ve lived in five states, each shaping my understanding of people, cultures, and healing in unique ways. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Oregon in 2022, then moved to Texas in 2023 to further my education and be closer to family. Since relocating, I’ve enjoyed connecting with the diverse communities of the Houston area and exploring new environments. Outside of counseling, I find creative expression through drawing, painting, sculpting, and restoring antiques—activities that support my own wellness and self-care.
At the heart of my work is a strong commitment to helping others build empowered, meaningful, and connected lives. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they rediscover their capacity for growth and I am honored to be a part of the journey.
